Today is the “official” start of my first endeavor of the Petrochemical Weight Loss Protocol as described by Tiffany Rowan. I say “official” because I technically started on Saturday, Dec 1.
The idea is simple enough. My goal is to get rid of all of the toxins and petrochemicals my fat cells have been holding on to since I was born. Our fat cells store toxins that are potentially harmful to our brains, lungs and heart as a means of protecting us, forming deposits of hard cellulite on the body. As they store the toxins, the fat cells just get bigger and bigger, which can make normal weight loss sometimes difficult, even with proper diet and exercise, plus, everyone knows how difficult cellulite is to get rid of. Essential oils break up the fat and digest the toxins and we eliminate them harmlessly through our normal elimination channels (i.e. pee them out.)
So I purchased a couple of bottles of Citrus Fresh and Grapefruit, and one bottle of ledum. Following the instructions from Tiffany, I put 10 drops of ledum into the bottle of Citrus Fresh, and allowed that to “steep” for about 8 hours/overnight before applying liberally* over my “problem” areas. For now, I am concentrating on my belly, hips and upper thighs. My thinking is that as certain parts shrink, I can move on to other parts later.
Then I put 20 drops of grapefruit oil into clear vegetable capsules (available through Young Living for $7.50 for a bag of 250 ct) and took those with a glass of water, and applied the blend just before bed. I also took pictures of where I am starting, but I won’t be sharing those until AFTER I have something to compare them to.
In addition to the nightly oils application, I am taking 4 oz of NingXia Red in the morning and having a nutrient dense smoothie for breakfast and/or lunch.
Today’s Smoothie consisted of:
4 oz NingXia Red
4 oz Beet Kvass (homemade)
2 oz kefir
1 T coconut oil
1/2 sm peach sliced and frozen (about 4-5 slices)
1/8 cup frozen cherries
1 scoop green’s mix
Blend until smooth. Add more kvass or water if too thick. I also added a couple of capsules of digestive enzymes to help things along. I may also add a raw pastured egg yolk or two to the mix in future smoothies.
For this protocol, I’m not “dieting” per se. I am continuing to stick with the Weston A Price principles of traditional foods/prep. As a family, we are going for walks together to increase our activity. I am also engaging in visualization and frequent affirmations of my goals. I have a vision in mind of what I will look like once I have let go of all of the weight, and what that will feel like. I am also changing my language. Someone told me that weight loss coaches often tell their clients not to speak in terms of “losing weight” because then, subconsciously, one might be always be looking for what one “lost.” Rather, it’s better to say, “I am releasing and letting go of X amount.”
To that end, I am releasing and letting go of 130 pounds. I don’t know exactly how long that will take, but of course, sooner rather than later is ok by me.
You are welcome to join me on my journey! *Apply the Citrus Fresh/Ledum blend NEAT. Do not dilute with a carrier oil, or it will negate the action of the oils to break up the fat.
